Nigerian Communications Satellite (NigComSat) has partnered with Eutelsat OneWeb to provide advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite services across the West African country.
Through this collaboration, NigComSat will utilize OneWeb's network to deliver high-speed, low-latency connectivity solutions to various Nigerian sectors, including government services, businesses and rural communities.
"This partnership marks a major milestone for NigComSat, allowing us to bridge Nigeria's digital divide with OneWeb's advanced LEO satellite technology. Together, we will deliver scalable and reliable connectivity solutions to drive growth across government services, businesses, and communities nationwide," said NigComSat MD Jane Egerton-Idehen.
She added that Eutelsat OneWeb and NigComSat aim to combine resources to encourage innovation, accelerate digital transformation and expand connectivity opportunities within Nigeria and beyond.
