Ethio Telecom has officially launched 5G service by setting up 5G mobile stations in various areas of Bahir Dar, including Kebele 4, Tana, Bahir Dar University (Poly), Ethiopian Electric Power Headquarters, and key locations like Deb Anbesa Hotel, Avanti, Jacaranda, and Kuriftu hotels.
5G technology offers speeds up to 10 Gbps and ultra-low latency of 1 millisecond, allowing up to 1 million devices to connect per square kilometer. This network will reduce congestion, provide high-quality communication, and support digital services like education, healthcare, and entertainment, while boosting economic growth and innovation.
